ABF Pitching Lessons

The American Baseball Foundation offers individual and group pitching analysis. Our program is offered to athletes of all ages. Our staff has instructed individuals ranging from professional pitchers to college prospects and minor league athletes. Our instructors have also traveled around the world to offer specific instructional classes. Using the advanced biomechanics laboratory located in the ASMI offices we can provide a highly detailed look into the mechanics of each person to pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses. The American Baseball Foundation offices are located in downtown Birmingham, Alabama, on the grounds of St. Vincent Hospital.

ABF research

Osinski summarized ABF research that has produced a magnet in both English and Spanish that lists average speeds for pitchers 8 to 14 years of age. Families can compare the pitch speed of their children to the average and to the world norm for elite pitchers whose speeds far exceed the average. The elite group is composed of pitchers whose velocity makes them 1/400. Also the ABF suggests protection parameters for the elite pitcher as well as those who pitch at the average.
